Cliches stick to the
topscorer

Match winner. A one-man army. Heroine of the day. There are many
clichés and all of them fit Kristine Andersen against Romania.
She scored ten excellent goals and she was often the only threat
to the Romanian defence. The player from Ikast-Bording had reason
to be satisfied with her own effort. 'I had a very good day' she
said cunningly and as a true diplomat she quickly added 'But the
back players helped me a lot'
Arms made of rubber in the defence
Even though Kristine Andersen was pleased about the victory she
did mention some weak points. She put emphasis on the period of
the second half when Romania caught up on Denmark.
'Our arms felt like rubber and our systems did not work. We did
not play well at all, we simply could not get through', Kristine
Andersen said.
However, Pytlich's time-out brought us back. In other words we had
a wake-up call. It meant that Denmark won 25-23 and has a very good
basis for further play. The blonde bomb Kristine Andersen puts it
this way: 'We have to look at our play. If we continue playing well
we will beat Austria tomorrow. It is an advantage to us that so
many of us know Fridrikas from the Danish league.'
