Marginal players will play for Slovenia

By Peter Bang Overby
Slovenia barely ensured their main round participation when they defeated Belarus.

'Our goal was to reach the main round, now we need to make some changes', says coach Tone Tiselj. The marginal players will play a lot in the next three matches.

'We will use all our players in the coming matches. Of course we will try to win but more importantly, the young players need experience with a view to future tournaments', said Tone Tiselj. He was also aware of the fact that Slovenia is facing a difficult main round against strong nations such as Russia or Norway. Therefore our main goal is to gather experience rather than to reach a good placing.

'The rest of the matches will be an experience for us but they will be very challenging', Tone Tiselj explained at the press conference after the match against Belarus.
