Jingle Bells does not
necessarily signify Christmas
By Marie Bjerre
The Norwegian team didn't lack support in Farum Arena tonight.
The match between Spain and Norway made the many Norwegian fans
bring the bells out.
Entire spectator stands were covered in red and grey. The lights
in the arena twinkled in the dull golden bells, the sound of which
drowned the sound of the pop music following each goal. In combination
with the cheers: 'Kom ijen Norge, kom ijen!' the atmosphere became
more and more intense as the minutes went by.
Couples, families and young men constituted the mixed group of
jumping, cheering Norwegians. All had women's handball, beer and
Underberg from the bar as common interests.
