Pytlick was pleased with the match

By Karina Wulff Harrestrup

“I’m very pleased that we have won this match. It was a very important match for us”, said the Danish coach after they beat Romania 25-23.

Jan Pytlick was very pleased with the Danish defence, and he spoke praisingly of goal keeper Karin Mortensen and play maker Kristine Andersen who scored ten goals.

Carmen Amariei had been feared by the Danes, but they managed to stop her.

“I think that we are able to block her out of the game quite well. Brødsgaard knew how to handle her and our defence is very focused and strong today”, said Pytlick.

Mette Vestergaard was a disappointment for many people in the Arena tonight, but the Danish coach didn’t agree that she had played badly:

“Mette was not 100 percent today. However, I still think that she had some good runs in the attack and she makes some good assists. She keeps on being a threat in the attack and that makes Kristina Andersen and Rikke Hørlykke able to produce many good chances”
