Not good enough. This is what Ole Eliasen said about the referees after the 26-20 defeat to Denmark. He did, however, start by saying that they had lost to a team that was better that day.
'We met a better team today, on a fantastic home court. Our team play did not work, and we knew that everybody had to play their best - not just Ausra (Fridrikas, ed.)', said Ole Eliasen after the match.
But the referees were no help, certainly, and the Danish defence's manhandling of Ausra Fridrika annoyed Ole Eliasen in particular.
'It becomes very difficult when Denmark are allowed to push Ausra and our players the way they do today. It's lousy of the referees, but that's just the way it is when Denmark is playing on home court', said the Austrian coach.
