Romania satisfied with the 7th place

By Karina Wulff Harrestrup
The Romanian assisting coach, Aurelian Rosca, was pleased with his team after they had beaten Czechia in the match for the 7th place in the tournament.

“We play well in the first half, but not in the second. We only score one goal in the first 17 minutes and that’s not good enough. We don’t get the ball past the goal keeper because we shoot in the wrong places of the goal which makes it very difficult for us. Furthermore, Amariei is out with an injury in that part of the second half and maybe that’s why the other players don’t have confidence in themselves. However we do get back into the game and in the end it’s the Czechian team that can’t score”, said Rosca after the match.

Rosca thought that it was fair that Romania finished 7th in the tournament.

“We have a young team and most of the players are between 24 and 25 so we hope that we can do even better next year when the players are more experienced. We play well now, but we’re not consistent enough at the moment. For example we do play well against Denmark and France, but we fail in the last part of both games”, said the assisting coach.
